The white tiger is not only an animal of power but also it represents some spiritual significance. The tiger is now very rare in China especially a white one, but once they were found in a much larger area. The roar of the tiger is awe-inspiring, so the translation of the two large characters is "Male Wind" the smaller characters are the artists name and date etc. The meaning is that the male (or Tiger) represents the stronger of all animals and the wind is the awe-inspiring roar. The other smaller animals can hear this for one thousand miles and they go to hide.
